Boiled Marron

While Marron can be prepared with a range of seasonings, spices and sauces, if it is your first time trying them, I would recommend simply boiling them as you will be able to taste their unique sweetness and the reason they are preferred over many other crustations

Instructions for Boiled Marron
- The most humane and easiest method of killing any crustacean is to chill it in the freezer for ½ hour and they will enter a state of hibernation (but do not leave them there long enough to freeze them).
- Bring water to the boil.
- Add handful of salt (sea water is best).
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, till red and floating.
- Place in ice water to cool, then after a couple of minutes, peel and enjoy.
